Effective in aggressive environments, chemical resistance is just one of the properties architects and engineers can expect from an epoxy terrazzo floor finish. Chemical resistant terrazzo floors are ideal in places including dining facilities, laboratories, hospitals, and other commercial buildings where exposure to chemicals can damage the flooring system.
A terrazzo floor using TERRAZZCO EZPour Epoxy 158 is proven to withstand a variety of substances including beverage spills, grease, oils, blood, urine, and other chemicals. With a terrazzo floor set in place, you can avoid common floor issues such as swelling, staining, discoloration, and other effects that will cost building owners the time and money to repair or replace the floor.

Using sealers is a great way to add protection to your terrazzo floors. In all terrazzo systems, marble aggregates have a low porosity of absorption. If you are concerned with your floors becoming stained, always choose epoxy terrazzo. Epoxy terrazzo is nonporous with chemical resistant properties. Only a water-based surface sealer is recommended for use with an epoxy terrazzo floor in assisting in protecting the aggregates and enhancing the aesthetics.
