Our step-by-step process ensures that your precast terrazzo elements are manufactured to your exact specifications, delivering unmatched durability and stunning visual appeal.
Typically, the process begins by contacting us to discuss your project. While final measurements and details may still evolve, sharing your drawings, specifications, and/or project requirements at this stage allows us to address any questions and clarify important details early on.
We’ll address the project’s important aspects, including the application, size, quantities, design, and budget.
Based on the information that you have provided, our team will prepare a formal proposal for your review, including an estimate and approximate timeframe to complete the project. This will allow you to make informed decisions regarding your project.
Once the proposal is approved and signed off, we’ll begin collaborating on the design phase.
Next, we’ll work on creating a mix design for the precast terrazzo. This may involve acquiring a control sample as a reference to match the terrazzo, or to create a new sample based on an epoxy color and specified aggregates. We’ll produce terrazzo samples for you to evaluate.
Samples can be modified to achieve the desired results that match your vision perfectly. Once the samples have been approved and signed off, you’re one step closer to the production phase.
Before your project is added to production, we will ask contractors to provide shop drawings or will require field-verified measurements/templates to create precise shop drawings for contractors at an extra fee. To make this process easier, you can download our standard CAD details for precast units such as stair treads, flat base, and cove base. Download
If shop drawings are created, they will be sent to you for your review, approval, and signature to ensure everything is accurate and aligned with your design requirements and field-verified measurements.
For production to begin, we ask the order be paid in full.
Once we have received approvals for your signed proposal, finalized sample, and measurements on shop drawings, we’ll move forward to checking availability of materials, and order special aggregates if necessary.
For all precast orders, we produce TERRAZZCO EZPour Epoxy 158 in-house and offer a wide variety of aggregate colors to choose from. However, while we carry an extensive selection, not all aggregate options are stocked. Depending on the size or type of aggregate you need, we may need to source these materials to meet your custom specifications, which can affect lead times.
All precast terrazzo products are custom-made to order. The process includes casting epoxy terrazzo, precisely cutting each piece to size, and polishing.
Once the precast units are complete, they undergo a rigorous quality inspection, where we verify dimensions, consistency, and overall craftsmanship to ensure every unit meets our highest standards. After passing inspection, each unit is carefully packaged to protect it during transit, ensuring it arrives in pristine condition. From start to finish, our team takes every measure to deliver a durable, beautiful terrazzo product tailored to your vision.
Once the precast terrazzo products are completed, they will be stored at our warehouse up to 30 days. (Storage fee is applied for products stored after 30 days.)
