TERRAZZCO Brand Epoxy Terrazzo Products Now GREENGUARD Gold Certified

Charlotte, North Carolina — Concord Terrazzo Company is proud to announce that all TERRAZZCO Brand epoxy terrazzo products are now GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold certified.

Concord Terrazzo Company now becomes one of the leading terrazzo manufacturers that offer GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold products globally. The certification covers all TERRAZZCO Brand epoxy resin products and all precast terrazzo products utilizing TERRAZZCO EZpour 158 epoxy.

UL LLC awards GREENGUARD certification for products tested and proven to have low chemical emissions. GREENGUARD certification is widely recognized and accepted by sustainable building programs worldwide. According to GREENGUARD, “The GREENGUARD Certification Program (formerly known as GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification) gives assurance that products designed for use in indoor spaces meet strict chemical emissions limits, which contribute to the creation of healthier interiors. Achieving GREENGUARD Certification gives credence to manufacturers’ sustainability claims, backing them with empirical scientific data from an unbiased, third-party organization.”

Concord Terrazzo Company is committed to environmental responsibility. Obtaining GREENGUARD certification became the main objective in 2018 as we extend our vision of providing environmentally-friendly products that improve the health and wellbeing of those who occupy buildings using TERRAZZCO Brand Products.

Formerly known as GREENGUARD Children and School Certification, the gold level proves that all products certified with GREENGUARD Gold have been tested to have low emissions of chemicals. Furthermore, the certification has greater implications for institutional and healthcare facilities where indoor air quality is essential for both children and the elderly.

GREENGUARD Gold can help earn credits for sustainable rating programs including the U.S. Green Building’s Council’s LEED rating system.

Concord Terrazzo Company’s National Sales Manager Joshua Boncosky began working with UL Environment earlier this year and was officially awarded GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold certifications on September 7, 2018.
