Green Terrazzo System

TERRAZZCO Moisture Mitigation System 950G

Moisture Mitigation 950G is a VOC free two-component epoxy resin based on renewable ingredients. It does not contain any ingredients on The Living Building Challenge (LBC) Red List. When applied on the top surface of concrete slabs, the coating provides a retarder against moisture vapor transmission for slabs possessing relative humidity measurement greater than 75% (see application section below for applicable test method). MMS 950G yields approximately 300-400 square feet per mixed unit. This yield comprises one coat but is based on porosity of the concrete and may require a second coat for very porous surfaces.

Working Data

Working (Pot) Life: 30 minutes

Re-Coat Time: 5-6 hours @ 75°F

Full Cure Time: 7 days

Mix Ratio

Pour TERRAZZCO Moisture Mitigation System MMS 950G Part A resin (3.5 gallons premeasured) with Part B hardener (1 gallon premeasured).

Coverage

MMS 950G yields approximately 300-400 square feet per mixed unit. This yield comprises one coat but is based on the porosity of the concrete and may require a second coat for very porous surfaces.

Mixing Instructions

1. Pour the pre-measured MMS 950G hardener part B into premeasured MMS 950G part A and mix thoroughly for two to three minutes using a drill equipped with a jiffy blade.

2. Add 1.25 L (0.33 gal) water and mix for two minutes.

3. Add another 1.25 L (0.33 gal) water and mix for two minutes.

4. Add another 1.25 L (0.33 gal) water and mix for two minutes.

5. Finish adding another 1.25 L (0.33 gal) water and mix for two minutes.

6. Once the mixture has been thoroughly mixed, the product may be applied by roller, squeegee, or brush. Apply evenly with no puddles, making sure of uniform coverage. Coverage will vary depending upon the porosity of the substrate. Multiple coats may be necessary for very porous surfaces. Allow curing for 5-6 hours.

Packaging Details

TERRAZZCO Moisture Mitigation System 950

Packaging

TERRAZZCO® MMS 950G is packaged for convenient mixing at the worksite. Part A resin is premeasured in 3.5-gallon pail. Part B hardener is premeasured in a 1-gallon can.

Self Life:  Material has a one-year shelf life from the date of manufacture when stored at 55°F to 90°F and in its original container.

Storage Conditions: Materials should be stored in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment and out of direct sunlight. The part B hardener is susceptible to freezing. Keep resins and hardeners separated from each other until ready for use. Materials should be kept away from sources of ignition.
